Jonathon Porter was the very first person to join Wisecroft after its inception in 2016 as Vice President. Following his graduation from London School of Economics and Politics, he was given the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather James Porter (who is still spoken of today in the City of London as one of pioneers of the modern financial infrastructure), and joined the investment arm of Coutts Bank where he was taught by arguably the best in the business how to offer a range of discretionary managed investments . In 2006 he decided to show Wall Street ‘how things should be done’ (his words!) and joined Meryll Lynch where he met Chase Cohen, one of the Managing Partners here at Wisecroft. Jonathon was on Wall Street on the day of the crash in 2008 and very nearly walked away from the industry. But he felt a commitment to not only to help people recover financially but also to restore their faith in the industry that he loves. Jonathon worked under Chase for the next 10 years and It was due to this that prompted Jonathon to follow Chase to Barbados in 2016 where he has been the cornerstone in creating the level of service that has become synonymous with Wisecroft Capital Management.

Joanna joined our, already successful team at the beginning of 2019, but has made a huge impact on our growth. This stems from her time as a Senior Wealth Developer at HSBC London and her subsequent promotion to head of asset management at HSBC Head Quarters in Hong Kong. Not only has Joanna brought over 20 years of experience in what is widely regarded as the most cut throat area of Finance, but her energy, focus, determination and sheer grit have elevated her to one of the most integral members of our organization. Her ‘straight shooter’ approach is unquestionable, as her husband of 16 years, Mike, will testify!
